WORK IN PROGRESS
In what is left of 2008 , there are no main exhibitions.
I have 3 watercolours displayed at MOMA Wales in Machynlleth, with
the Watercolour Society of Wales exhibition.
This is on until October 25th. In this exhibition, the Society’s
Patron, HRH the Prince of Wales is exhibiting his work alongside
the other members.
There’ll be a selection of my work in the Art Matters Christmas
show, which runs from
December 1st until January 3rd.
I’ll be holding an OPEN STUDIO week from November 23rd to
30th……plenty of choice of work, from small to large,
some originals and prints at low prices, ideal for Christmas
During 2009, I’ve been invited to exhibit at two galleries.
The first is at Torbay Hospital, in their link corridor gallery.
As one of their favourite exhibitors, I’ve been invited to
put on their 100th exhibition. It is run by volunteer staff at the
hospital, who do an excellent job, under the umbrella of South Devon
Healthcare. It is invaluable for patients and visitors, most of
whom have to go along the glass-sided corridor, which links the
two main buildings. Many years ago, I had to use that corridor often,
when there was nothing up on the walls; when I was often full of
apprehension & fear. I do believe that exhibitions can help
to ease the difficult times people have in such a place.
The other exhibition is at Tenby Museum & Gallery. The dates
have yet to be decided, it may even go into 2110.
My Falmouth show didn’t happen this year, due to ill-health,
but the Great Atlantic Gallery have offered a show in 2009. In fact
it’ll give me a better opportunity to produce special work
for them and the Cornish Art scene ! dates have yet to be decided.
