ANDREA KELLAND GICLEES : BLUESTONE VILLAGE, PEMBROKESHIRE

Bluestone is a brand new ‘village’ created in woodlands near Narberth, my local town. It has hundreds of wooden lodges as well as an area of ‘traditional’ cottages. It also has a new pool building called the Blue Lagoon, which was designed to represent an upturned coracle, though to my eye recalls a water beetle. Bluestone wanted my work for that wonderful setting .
Several of my images have been printed onto acrylic sheet, as large-scale giclees, and they are stunning ! They will be wall-mounted in certain areas of the Blue Lagoon & its restaurant. The largest of them is BIG WAVE at 5’x 6’+ which will be positioned at the entry to the pool itself…which has a wave machine : hopefully not producing such mighty waves ! The other large prints are : ‘Waveswell’ at 5’x5’6”, ‘On the Rocks’ , ‘Over the Rocks’, ‘Lagoon Ripples’, ‘Pebble Ripples’ and an exclusive ‘Blue Lagoon’ …this version of Blue Lagoon is exclusive to Bluestone and will be available in smaller sized giclees !
There are some superb framed giclees in the restaurant there too, as well as in the 17 ‘STUDIO’ apartments. These look really classy in their thick and deep ‘pewter’ frames. The retail areas at Bluestone will have a selection of my giclees , as well as some of my A5 cards which I’ve been printing at home.(not using quality pigment inks though : so they could fade in strong light, if you’re tempted to frame them !)
All my framing and printing has been managed by Kadinsky Art in Narberth.

If anyone would like to receive an invite to a private view at any of these exhibitions, please let me know & I’ll send information. I have had some promotional brochures printed , simply 4 page A5 size, which seem to be very successful : if you’d like me to send one, please let me know. Meanwhile painting work continues in readiness for the next Swansea exhibition. If work is sold, I need to replace with new Good strong paintings. I’m working with more texture now : Much thicker paint, or glazed areas. On the watercolours I’m using some areas of impasto, worked into, which gives lovely rich tones and qualities which I’m pleased with.
